STPPS Students Qualify for State Rally
(04-03-2018)

Sixty-two STPPS students placed at the Southeast Louisiana District Literary Rally in February and have qualified for the 2018 Louisiana State Literary Rally. The state-level rally will take place April 21 at LSU in Baton Rouge.

More than 200 STPPS students participated at the District Rally held February 24 at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. Among the highlights at the District Rally were 21 STPPS students being named SLU Scholarship winners.

An academic tradition since 1909, the Louisiana State Rally aims to foster a sense of fair competition among participating schools across Louisiana. Over a quarter of a million Louisiana high school students take part in 10 district rallies throughout the state with more than 5,000 district winners advancing to the State Rally.
