Slidell and Lakeshore extended their winning streaks while Covington snapped its slide during Week 7 of the 2018 #STPPSFootball slate.
Second-ranked Lakeshore (7-0) has now won 19 straight regular-season games after a 49-0 non-district road win at H.L. Bourgeois. Senior Jacob Bernard led the Titans with four touchdowns.
At the Dawg Pound in Mandeville, Fontainebleau (4-3) saw its three-game win streak come to an end. Covington (3-4) led the Bulldogs from start to finish for the district win.
Three of the night's five games were in Slidell.
Slidell (5-2) ran its win streak to four straight as the Tigers fought off Mandeville (2-4) on Homecoming, 41-31. Trailing 24-14 in the third quarter, Slidell scored 27 straight points to pull away from the Skippers.
Northshore (2-5) dropped a hard-luck 21-18 contest to Hammond (3-4), and Salmen (1-6) fell 28-7 to visiting Archbishop Shaw (2-5).
After suffering a tough loss last week at Hahnville, Pearl River (5-1) had an open date.
